The leaders of Japan, China and South Korea will discuss currency swaps, territorial issues and the global financial crunch when they sit down for their first trilateral summit.The one-day summit, to be held on Saturday in the southern Japan city of Fukuoka, was expected to be broad-ranging. But officials said Friday that financial issues will dominate the agenda. Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kazuo Kodama said efforts to get North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons programs, joint efforts to respond to natural disasters, and climate change will also be discussed.
The three nations have held summits on the sidelines of broader international meetings but this will be the first time they'll be holding an independent three-way summit.
